Preparation
- Preheat oven to 150°C (gas mark 4) or 200°C (gas mark 6).
- Mix honey, hot water and melted butter in a bowl.
- Add the organic gingerbread mix and mix well until smooth.
- Shape the dough to your desired weight.
Cooking (average weight about 400 g) :
- 1 h at 150°C for a honeycombed crumb with a blond caramel color.
- 1 h at 200°C for a tighter crumb and a more pronounced caramel color.
- Leave to cool before unmolding.
Details
The quantity of organic gingerbread obtained depends on the size of the mould you use.
Baking time may vary according to the size of the tin and your oven. Check for doneness with a toothpick.
Conservation
To preserve the gingerbread, wrap it in cling film once cooled.
Tips and tricks
For added flavor, you can add extra spices, such as cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger or cardamom.
You can also add candied fruit or chocolate chips to the dough.
